This figure shows the 2013 notification rates (per 100,000) for unspecified hepatitis C by age group and sex. In males, notification rates were highest in the 20-59 year age groups, peaking in the 30-34 and 35-39 year age groups, at 111.8 and 112.3 per 100,000 respectively. In females, rates were highest in the 30-34 and 35-39 year age groups, at 71.2 and 57.8 per 100,000 respectively. The female notification rate was lower than the male notification rate in almost every age group, and significantly lower in the 20-64 year age groups.
