Overall, notification rates for newly acquired hepatitis B declined for most age groups, particularly for the 20-29 year age groups (from 4.5 to 1.0 per 100,000), the 15-19 year age group (from 2.2 to 0.5 per 100,000) and the 30-39 year age groups (from 3.5 to 1.6 per 1000,000).
