This figure shows the 2013 notification rates (per 100,000) for newly acquired hepatitis C by sex and age group. The notification rates were highest for men in the 25-44 year age groups, peaking in the 20-24 year age group at 9.3 per 100,000. Rates for females were much lower in almost every age group. The highest notification rate for females was in the 20-24 year age group, at 4.9 per 100,000.
