This figure shows the rate of tuberculosis (TB) in Australia from 1960 to 2013. This figure demonstrates a substantial decline in TB rates since the 1960s. However, since the mid 1990s TB rates have been gradually increasing. In 2010 and 2011, TB rates reached 6.2 per 100,000 which was the highest rate recorded since the 7 per 100,000 recorded in 1985. In both 2012 and 2013, the rate has dropped below 6 per 100,000.
