This figure shows the age-standardised notification rates of gonococcal infection, in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, between 2007 and 2012, by Indigenous status and year. This figure shows that from 2007 to 2012, the age-standardised notification rates were notably higher among the Indigenous population than the non-Indigenous population in most jurisdictions, except in Victoria and Tasmania, where the differences between the age-standardised notification rates in the Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations are less evident. In the Indigenous populations, the figure shows that age-standardised rates in 2012 were highest in the Northern Territory, followed by Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Victoria and then Tasmania. The figure insert shows that in 2012, the age-standardised notification rates in the non-Indigenous population were highest in the Northern Territory, followed by Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia and then Tasmania.
