This figure shows rates of notified cases of IPD in Australia aged less than five years between 2008 and 2013 by Indigenous status, year and the serotype causing disease, grouped according to vaccine type.  The figure demonstrates that while the overall burden of disease has remained relatively stable since introduction of the universal 7vPCV, the profile of serotypes causing disease has changed over time. Serotypes that are not included in wither the 7vPCV or the 13vPCV are beginning to contribute more as the cause of disease.
