Figure 1 displays the proportion of enhanced surveillance cases treated with ceftriaxone and with ciprofloxacin by year in BSWM PHU region in Queensland. In 2003, 50% were treated with ciprofloxacin and 40% were treated with ceftriaxone. The proportion treated with ciprofloxacin decreased over time while the proportion treated with ceftriaxone increased so that by 2011, no cases were treated with ciprofloxacin and 84% were treated with ceftriaxone.
