The box plot demonstrates the age of patients infected with community-associated MRSA (CA-MRSA) and healthcare-associated MRSA (HA-MRSA) reported in Australia in the 2012 AGAR programme.


The mean age of patients with CA-MRSA was 40.6 years (95% CI 37.8 to 43.4 years) and the mean age of patients with HA-MRSA was 69.8 years (95% CI: 66.2 to 73.4 years).
