The figure shows that from 2009 to 2014, the age-standardised rates were generally higher among the Indigenous population than the non-Indigenous population in most jurisdictions, reflecting the Indigenous to non-Indigenous age-standardised rate ratio for 2014 of 4.4:1. In the Indigenous population, the figure shows that age-standardised notification rates in 2014 were highest in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Victoria. The figure insert shows that in 2014, the age-standardised notification rates in the non-Indigenous population were highest in Victoria, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
