This figure shows all notified cases of IPD in Australia between 2008 and 2013 by month.  The figure demonstrates that in cases aged five years and over, IPD notifications were at their lowest in March and then peaked August.  IPD notifications in cases aged less than five years followed the same seasonality however peaks were seen in both June and August.
