This figure shows notifications of legionellosis in Australia from 1991 to 2012 by year of diagnosis and species. This figure demonstrates number of legionellosis notifications has continued to rise since 1991 and that up until 1998 L. pneumophila was the predominant infecting species. However since 1998, the most common infective species has alternated between L. pnuemophila and L. longbeachae.
