The Requirements for Laboratory Testing for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) sets out the minimum standards for good laboratory practice in Australia for testing HIV and HCV. The Requirements, in broad principle, apply to the use of all types of HIV and HCV assays including immunoassays used for diagnosis and confirmatory testing.
