Description of clinic

Edmonton Hub: A newly constructed 648m2, single storey facility.
McLeod Street Spoke: McLeod Street Medical Centre.
Woree Spoke: Renovation of the existing Woree Family Medical Centre.

Multidisciplinary care


Edmonton: GP consultations, nursing, dietetics, diabetes education, speech pathology, psychology, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, clinical pharmacy, pathology collection.

Woree: GPs, practice nurse, podiatry, audiology, pathology collection.

McLeod Street: GPs, nursing, psychology, pathology collection.

This hub and spoke model will focus on preventative activities including lifestyle modification and chronic disease management programs.


Edmonton: GPs, Practice Nurses, visiting allied health such as a dietitian, diabetes educator, speech pathologist, psychologist, physiotherapist and exercise physiologist. Also available is a clinical pharmacist, pathology collection and an Aboriginal Health Worker.

McLeod Street: GPs nurses, psychologists.

Woree: GPs, a practice nurse, visiting podiatrist, audiologist and pathology collection. Top of page

Edmonton: Monday to Friday: 8am - 8pm, Saturday: 9am - 2pm
Woree: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday 8.30am – 11.30am
McLeod Street: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday 8.30am – 11.30am

Balance! Edmonton Family Practice also provides a GP into the Dial-a-Doctor roster which offers after hours home visits after 8pm at night and all day on weekends.

Billing arrangements

All children under 16 years, health care card holders, seniors, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the financially disadvantaged are bulk billed.

Home visits and visits to residential aged care facilities

Home visits are provided on an as needed basis for elderly patients. There are also consultations for regular patients who are in residential aged care facilities at Masonic Aged Care Facility and Sheridan Gardens Aged Care Facility.

Clinical training arrangements

4 Medical students from James Cook University have undertaken clinical placements. Nursing and medical student placements will continue during the next 12 months. McLeod Street and Woree also take Registrars. Top of page
