Figure 1 shows Australia’s non-polio acute flaccid paralysis rate from 1995 to 2014 compared to the World Health Organization surveillance performance criterion. Australia reached or exceeded the World Health Organization target of one non-polio acute flaccid paralysis case per 100,000 children less than 15 years of age in 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006 and 2008 to 2014.
